A mountain hut surrounded by greenery at an altitude of 1,600 metres, where the philosophy behind the entire project is the authenticity of the materials, combined with modern functionality.
All the cladding used is made of old wood, recovered from ancient mountain rooms, as is the wooden floor, which has been cleaned, repaired and laid according to the rules and techniques of the time.
Old wooden slats, assembled together, were also used for the kitchen and bathroom furniture, which were redesigned in a modern style to best meet current needs. Natural stone was chosen to complement the wood for the flooring and cladding in the kitchen, bathroom and impressive backlit portal, which scenically divides the dining area from the living room, dominated by a large sofa to accommodate the whole family.
The portal, kitchen and bathroom were intentionally designed with clean lines as newly conceived elements, contrasting but always in dialogue with the restored furniture, which is original to the location.
Work carried out in collaboration with Gritti Rollo.
